What is Jahizon?
The Jahizon project was launched to prepare and qualify Syrians inside and outside the country to actively contribute to the reconstruction of Syria at various economic, social, and developmental levels. The project focuses on building a comprehensive database of Syrian expertise and competencies in various fields, such as engineering, technology, health, education, and other specializations, to serve as a reference for implementing reconstruction projects.
Goals of the project:
- Identifying Syrian competencies: Collecting and documenting information about Syrian experts and specialists inside and outside Syria.
- Enhancing cooperation and partnerships: Providing a platform that brings together experts and donors or companies seeking to implement projects in Syria.
- Capacity building and qualification: Offering training programs and workshops to develop the skills required in reconstruction fields.
- Unifying Syrian efforts: Leveraging Syrian competencies collectively to achieve comprehensive progress instead of fragmented individual efforts.
- Engaging with expatriates: Connecting Syrians abroad with opportunities to participate in reconstruction through their expertise and investments.
Mechanism of Action:
- Building an open or targeted digital database for stakeholders in the projects.
- Organizing conferences and seminars to enhance collaboration between experts and project stakeholders.
- Developing a network that connects Syrian competencies with international and regional organizations.
- Creating a roadmap for areas that require development or urgent intervention.
This project holds great importance as it relies on Syrian human resources, enhancing the sense of national responsibility and contributing to a sustainable future for Syria.
